It will be February 22 soon and I will be with you
Celebrating our anniversary

And the warm air in Mexico will help
Maybe for our next anniversary we will be here in the cold
Keeping each other warm
That would be the best gift I could wish for.
I am getting excited about seeing you
Being able to touch you
Just to sit with you even in silence would be great.

Our journey started in June 2003. My husband a Mexican National was in court for a drunk driving offence.I waited for him to come home that day only to find out later he was picked up by immigration, and was being transported to an immigration detention center.It took me a week to find him he was in Aurora Colorado a seven hour drive that took a week to get to.I got our two kids in the car and drove to Denver.Thus our journey began.

Our lives begin to end when we are silent about the things we care about.

All this garbage whining about "illegal" is just a cover for a bunch of insecure and frustrated know-nothing racists who are afraid of the future. The future is coming. Get over it. You morons said the same thing when they gave blacks the right to vote. Now you focus your racist rage on Hispanics
As for amnesties, if we gave the Confederate traitors in the war Treason an amnesty, we can give one to hard-working illegal aliens. If the Supreme Court can hand out an amnesty for stealing a Presidential election, we can give one to people who want to do the jobs other Americans won't do. If states can hand out tax amnesties, we can give one to undocumented workers.
Always remember, life isn't measured by the number of breaths you take but by "the moments that take your breath away.
